JP Morgan Hires Senior Director for Data Science from SalesForce in AI Hiring Push

As said earlier this week, JP Morgan is continuously ramping up AI hiring efforts. Two months ago they snapped up the Chief Data Officer from Salesforce for their west coast AI efforts. Asset Management and AI, just the beginning…

Naren Chittar sold his four staff company MinHash to Salesforce and joined the company as Senior Director, Data Science in late 2015. Before Salesforce and starting his own company, he managed eBay’s search engine group, after a degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and Bombay’s Institute of Technology.

He joined JP Morgan as Executive Director in November 2018.

JP Morgan is on a major hiring spree for AI in general and for the new Palo Alto office, specifically, ever since the firm hired Apoorv Saxena as Global Head of AI Technology last year (from Google, where he was Head of Product Management for Cloud-Based AI). JPM was the main sponsor for AI Frontiers (co-founded by Saxena), and has announced a major hiring push a few days ago. Apoorv went on Twitter and announced the JP Morgan Silicon Valley AI open hiring event, on Feb 5-7.
